Material Approval Process
|

Prior to accepting a material, Industrial Water Services
requires new and existing customers to follow a strict Material Approval
Process to ensure that local and federal requirements can be met. The Material
Approval Process consists of three steps:
1. Customer Submission of a Completed Material Profile Form
2. Customer Submission of a Sample of the material requested to be treated
3. Customer Submission of a Completed Credit Application

| Step 1: Customer Submission of a Completed
Material Profile Form |
|
The Material Profile Form (MPF) is required to determine the
regulatory status for new material. The customer needs to provide as much
information as available to assist in the approval process and CWT category
determination. After a review of the MPF, IWS will determine if the customer
needs to provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) or laboratory analyses.

| Step 2: Customer Submission of a Sample of the
material requested to be treated |
|
Submitted samples are required to ensure that the sample of the
material matches the Material Profile Form. IWS performs Treatability studies
to ensure that we are capable of treating the requested material in our
facility, and discharging according to the local and federal parameters. Once
the Treatability lab is satisfied that the waste stream can be managed as a
virgin product, used oil, petroleum contact water, or non-hazardous waste, the
material will be approved by issuing a profile approval number specific to the
material in the form of an acceptance letter.

Step 3: Customer Submission of a Completed Credit Application |
|
A Credit Application is required for Industrial Water Services to
accept the material into the facility and provide treatment services. To
receive only a review of the Material Profile Form and sample, a credit
application is not required.
